About us

Underwater No.1 (diving shop and diving school) opened the doors for the first time on April 10th, 2000 in Dusseldorf-Derendorf and has quickly grown into a major player in scuba diving. The specialist shop and the shipping department keep the products of the most well-known manufacturers such as for example: Aqualung, Apeks, Cressi, DUI, Mares, Oceanic, Scubapro, Seac Sub, Subgear, Sherwood, Suunto, Uwatec, Waterproof and many more.

In 2006, Underwater No1 expanded to Cologne (since 2017 in Cologne Bickendorf) with a state-of-the-art and pioneering dive shop. In 2011 we started with SAP to optimize the inventory management. The owners Martina and Reinhard Ueberschär and the entire Underwater No.1 team have big plans for the future.

Since February 2008, an in-house logistics center has been responsible for the effective dispatch processing of customer orders and the supply of goods to our shops.

Over 4000 articles and all major brands in the Underwater No.1 product range, such a product range speaks for itself. It is only with this variety that our customers' most diverse desires can be met.

We participate in no plastic packaging materials!

In mail order:

No plastic fillers in our shipping packages (chips, bubble wrap).
We use the shipping packaging of the incoming shipments for our parcels again and cut them to size.
Knitted waste separation for shipping packaging that can no longer be used.

Our dive shops in Cologne and Düsseldorf have the same range as our online shop. In both shops we have a service department and a bottle filling station!
